If you scroll down the right hand side of this blog there is a link to a map showing Envoy's travels, using Click2Map software. On this map a blue icon shows every destination Envoy has been to since we started our journey from Ostia in March 2007.
It also shows the date and whether Envoy was at anchor or in a marina.
When you load the map by clicking on the link, on the left hand side of the map there are directional arrows and a range scale. On the right hand side you can read the destinations visited with dates. If you click on a destination the relevant tab is labelled, and you can then use the scale to zoom in on that location. What a great system and thanks to my friend Cory Dyer for helping me with setting up the link.
Technical
Demir Marine in Marmaris advised they inspected the main prop shaft (last replaced 2001) and found signs of surface corrosion. They emailed me photos of the corrosion and suggested we get a new shaft made and installed while Envoy is out of the water.
Will also need a new cutlass bearing as the old shaft was 2", while the new one will be 50mm.
